Magrabi hospitals and centers in Saudi Arabia was keen to participate actively on World Diabetes Day by conducting tests and making the necessary medical recommendations and giving Free vision Examination.

Retinal disease is one of the most significant complications of diabetes, so the Magrabi eye centers provide advanced treatment services in the retinal unit and vitreous body by diagnosing and treating all retinal eye problems caused by complications of diabetes affecting the retina and vitreous body.

What is the World Diabetes Day?

World Diabetes Day is the day health institutions around the world celebrate diabetes on November 14th each year to raise awareness of the risks and complications of diabetes and raise awareness about how to address it. 

The idea of celebrating World Diabetes Day goes back to 1991 when the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization announced that November 14th would be dedicated each year to celebrate it. The Blue Circle was designated as the emblem of these celebrations around the world.

What are the goals of World Diabetes Day 2021?

World Health Organization determine the goals of World Diabetes Day through the following:

  • Highlighting diabetes.
  • Increased awareness about the risks of diabetes.
  • Introducing the disease and its symptoms and complications.
